Pilates Day for me brings up all the feelings- I am excited, worried, curious, wondering, nervous. Every year it surprises me of the ripples that it makes. Every year it surprises me of how wonderful it really is. Not really to simply gather, but to take active steps in building trust. Just like in our daily life in the studio, trust is created when people show up for one another. In the studio, that happens between teacher and clients, clients and studio, and teachers and owner. It is a cycle that is continually occurring and is in various phases. Pilates Day is based upon love and belonging and deposits trust to those who participate. Are you curious? There are different ways to participate. You can: *Attend *Make a date with a friend or family member to attend *Make a financial donation (it covers our costs of basic promotion materials and use of the space, then the monies left over are donated to Let’s Move Pittsburgh.Check them out here. *You can volunteer. Our studio presents and supports this event. There is always something that needs done. And its fun. *You can share the event in your own social or loved ones circle via personal invite, conversation or social media. There are so many ways to show up for one another that do not mean your physical presence. Think about it. Round on the Ladder barrel This is a favorite place I have to teach rolling around the hip and solve spine collapsing. For some spines that are quite mobile, rolling exercises can be really uncomfortable or feel lacking when we dump down into the lower spine.
